Here comes the all-in-one package that gets you ready to create Blogs, Vlogs or Podcasts.

Become a media professional and find friends from all over Europe. Discover what AFS Global Superpower you carry in you and take on new challenges. Best of all, the entire program is free of charge.

What can you expect?

Join a diverse mix of workshops and creative group work with the other participants. Dive deep into the design of online media and get a head start at intercultural learning.
We start with an overview on Blogs, Vlogs and Podcasts, but also deal with mobile reporting in general.
What follows is a special input from an experienced journalist, who will show you how to do research. He will also tackle one of the biggest challenges of our time in social media: how to distinguish between news and fake news.
The next workshop is aimed at crossmedia. You will learn which media is best used where and how you can combine them effectively. In the last workshop things get a bit more classical. You will find out about journalistic presentation forms in general and especially in online journalism. And do you know how to do an interview? Not really? No problem, we will show you how to get the best possible results.
Of course, you will get the chance to put your latest knowledge into action right away. Together with the other participants you will create a blog about the AFS Global Superpowers.

AFS Superpowers?!

There are nine of them and we would like to know which superpower you bring along and which one you want to acquire. Tell us about you and your culture, share with your new friends and show it online to the entire world. There are no limits to your creativity!
While the focus of the program will be about Online-Journalism, you will also get the amazing opportunity to earn your own AFS Global Competence Certificate to add to your university and job applications. In this award-winning and research-backed online course you will explore self-awareness, emotional intelligence, awareness of others and how to bridge differences. This blended learning program develops tangible global skills essential to live, work, and make a real social impact around the world.
Learn to see the world through different eyes without leaving your home. Create true connections with friends from places you have never visited before. Open your mind to new ideas, experiences, and skills. Join a global community of AFS Global Citizens.

We are looking forward to meeting you at the Intercultural Media Academy.
